FDIC can improve information security, watchdog report says

( June 29, 2016, 22:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation has implemented numerous information security controls, but weaknesses including authenticating user identities remain, a US Government Accountability report published Wednesday said. The FDIC did not have an effective process for recertifying user access rights to several systems supporting the agency's financial processing and had not yet applied critical patches to mitigate known vulnerabilities in third party software on systems supporting financial processing, the report said.See document below....
