Hartley Pensions customers’ assets unaffected by administration, FCA says following unauthorized letter

( November 24, 2022, 14:20 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Hartley Pensions customers’ assets are currently not affected by the firm going into administration, the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority has said, a day after a director of the company wrote an unapproved letter to members of the pension plan containing “factual inaccuracies which may have caused customers concern.” The assets are held by trustee firms which have not entered insolvency and cannot be removed without appropriate consent, the watchdog said. UHY Hacker Young were appointed administers of Hartley Pensions in July, after the FCA identified serious operational, financial and regulatory issues at the self-invested personal pension (SIPP) provider.
