Deloitte fined GBP330,000 over UK crown dependency company audit failures

( November 22, 2022, 10:26 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Deloitte has been fined 330,000 pounds by the UK audit watchdog for failings in its 2018 audit of a listed company based in one of the UK's three crown dependencies, the self-governing territories of Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man. The Financial Reporting Council fined the Big Four auditor "pursuant to the Crown Dependencies’ Recognized Auditor Sanctions Procedure." It said Deloitte had breached four auditing standards, including provisions around professional skepticism and obtaining sufficient audit evidence.
