( May 6, 2022, 16:23 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The chief executive of Mining Capital Coin, a purported cryptocurrency mining and investment platform, was indicted by the US Justice Department for allegedly misleading investors about the firm’s crypto mining and investment program. The CEO, Luiz Capuci Jr. of Port St. Lucie, Fla., allegedly diverted investors’ funds to crypto wallets under his control rather than to mine new cryptocurrency. The US Securities and Exchange Commission also filed related civil fraud charges against Capuci; the company’s other co-founder Emerson Souza Pires; the company itself; and two other entities controlled by Capuci, CPTLCoin and Bitchain Exchanges.See statements and document below....
