ESMA outlines reporting rules for shadow-banking transactions

( March 11, 2016, 12:34 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The European Securities and Markets Authority outlined its planned rules for financial companies to inform regulators about their shadow-banking deals, or ways of providing credit outside of conventional bank lending. ESMA called for comments to help shape proposals to come in the second half of the year, to flesh out an EU law adopted in 2015. The plans set out reporting forms for repurchase agreements, securities and commodity lending arrangements, liquidity swaps and other securities financing transactions, plus regulations for trade-data warehouses compiling those reports.The following is the text of the statement.
