NatWest confirms permanent appointment of Paul Thwaite as chief executive

Thwaite had been appointed to chair the bank's board on a 12-month basis last July 2023. On Feb. 6, a parliamentary committee and UK Government Investments urged the bank to appoint a permanent CEO ahead of NatWest's share sale, which is expected to be as early as June. The bank's former CEO Alison Rose stood down last July after her handling of the closure of Nigel Farage’s accounts with the private bank Coutts, which NatWest owns.Statement follows....
