European Securities and Markets Authority: ESMA delivers second set of advice on EMIR equivalence

( October 2, 2013, 14:01 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Clearinghouses and trading repositories from Canada, India, South Korea, Australia and Singapore that offer services in the EU will be able to continue operating in the region as subject to rules equivalent to those of the European Markets Infrastructure Regulation, according to an assessment by EU securities regulator. The authority put on hold its assessment on Switzerland's and Hong Kong's regimes, until these are finalized and enter into effect.The text of the statement follows.
