CFTC's Giancarlo should withdraw position limits report, Senator Warren says

( February 25, 2016, 18:38 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US Senator Elizabeth Warren, a Massachusetts Democrat, urged US Commodity Futures Trading Commissioner Christopher Giancarlo to withdraw an advisory commmittee report recommending the CFTC to abandon its proposed rule on position limits. "Instead of producing a meaningful examination of a serious issue that will help determine the safety and security of America's financial markets, the committee has assembled a report that is little more than a list of talking points for an industry that hopes to escape meaningful regulation," she said in a letter Thursday.
