SEC charges Harman International Industries executive with insider trading

( February 5, 2016, 22:30 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday charged Dennis Wayne Hamilton, an executive at Connecticut-based electronics company Harman International Industries, with insider trading in the firm's stock. The SEC alleges that Hamilton made more than $130,000 in illegal profits by trading on nonpublic information he learned of in his role as Harman's vice president of tax, ahead of a 2014 quarterly earnings release.
