Dominance abuses in Chinese spotlight as SAMR consults on draft rules

( January 30, 2019, 08:38 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China’s State Administration for Market Regulation is soliciting public comment on a draft of its regulations on prohibiting abuses of dominant market positions. The draft regulations specify in a detailed manner factors that need to be considered in circumstances in which market players can be identified as being or presumed to be occupying dominant positions. The regulations also clarify additional elements that should be properly examined in determining the market dominance of business operators in new-economy industries and intellectual property-related sectors.
