Founder of cryptocurrency exchange Bizlato pleads guilty to operating unlicensed money-transmitting business

( December 7, 2023, 00:02 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Anatoly Legkodymov, a Russian national also known as “Gandalf” and “Tolik,” pleaded guilty to operating a money transmitting business that transported and transmitted illicit funds. Legkodymov founded and was majority owner of Bitzlato Ltd., a cryptocurrency exchange that served as a conduit for dark market purchasers and sellers, as well as a safe haven for ransomware criminals, prosecutors said.
