( December 17, 2018, 17:48 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Bank of New York Mellon agreed to pay $54 million to settle charges from the US Securities and Exchange Commission that it improperly handled American Depository Receipts, or ADRs. The SEC found that BNY Mellon engaged in practices which led to "inappropriate short selling and dividend arbitrage that should not have been occurring."
