( October 17, 2012, 13:38 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: MLex Summary: The European Parliament has issued decisions in May 2012 granting the ITER joint undertaking a discharge for the implementation of the budget for 2010 and approving the closure of the accounts for the same year. In a resolution of the same period, the Parliament has called on the Court of Auditors to provide a special report to Parliament on the added value of ITER for the efficient execution of research, technological development and demonstration programmes. It has also noted with concern that the Court of Auditors had drawn attention to the requirement for substantially increased resources for the ITER project in comparison to the indicative total funding deemed necessary for the period 2007-2014....
