GAM International Management fined GBP9 million by UK FCA over Greensill links

( December 16, 2021, 10:22 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: GAM International Management and a former employee have been fined more than 9 million pounds by the UK Financial Conduct Authority, over conflict-of-interest and gifts-and-entertainment matters. Timothy Haywood, a former employee at the asset manager, was fined just over 230,000 pounds for reported links to Sanjeev Gupta and Lex Greensill, whose firms are under investigation by the Serious Fraud Office. GAM International Management was fined 9.1 million pounds. The FCA said today it was not publishing final notices relating to the case, because “another party who is not a subject of the final notices may be affected by them.”Statement follows...
