US company share-buyback disclosure rule proposed by SEC

( December 15, 2021, 17:21 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Securities and Exchange Commission voted 3-2 to propose changes in rules for reporting issuer share repurchases, also known as buybacks, that would require completion of a new, more detailed disclosure form before the end of the first business day following a buyback. “I think we can lessen the information asymmetries between issuers and investors through enhanced timeliness and granularity of disclosures that today’s proposal would provide," SEC Chair Gary Gensler said.See statement and document below....
