In a statement today, Australian Treasurer Josh Frydenberg said Irvine, who was initially appointed as chair for the Foreign Investment Review Board in 2017, has done an outstanding job over the last two years in responding to the Covid-19 pandemic, which led to Australia overhauling its foreign investment laws earlier this year.
