FCA's Megan Butler, criticized over LCF saga, to leave UK regulator next year

( December 6, 2021, 11:54 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Megan Butler, whose promotion to executive director of transformation at the UK's Financial Conduct Authority was criticized by lawmakers, will leave the regulator in spring 2022. Butler took on a role overseeing changes at the regulator despite an independent report into the FCA’s handling of the collapse of London Capital & Finance calling her out by name, leading to Parliament’s Treasury Committee questioning the decision. Emily Shepperd is to take Butler’s role, alongside existing responsibilities as executive director of authorizations. Stephen Braviner Roman will join the FCA as general counsel.Statement follows....
