Dollar Financial agrees to pay GBP15.4 million in refunds, write-offs

( October 26, 2015, 11:40 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Dollar Financial UK, the operator of Payday Express and other short-term lenders in Britain, agreed to pay 15.4 million pounds of refunds or debt forgiveness to customers who were treated unfairly and lent more than they could afford to repay, the Financial Conduct Authority said. The company, a unit of DFC Global of the US, also has agreed to improve its lending criteria to meet FCA requirements, the agency said.The following is the text of the statement....
