Comment Letter: American Securitization Forum letter to SEC on prospective regulation of credit ratings

( May 13, 2013, 20:20 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Securities and Exchange Commission should avoid imposing a new regulatory regime on credit ratings by which a specific ratings firm is assigned by the government to the issuer of a security, wrote the American Securitization Forum, which represents the structured finance units of Wall Street investment banks. The SEC should instead revamp existing rules, the group said. Please see document below....
