US SEC issues ‘Innovation Exemption' as bridge to tokenized trading rule

The “Innovation Exemption” is meant to serve as a bridge for the SEC to open its capital markets for tokenized securities while the agency considers rules to facilitate on-chain trading, SEC Chair Paul Atkins said.
