US regulators writing stablecoin rules should add guardrails for users, observers say
By Neil Roland ( September 2, 2026, 21:29 GMT | Insight) -- US financial policymakers writing rules to carry out the GENIUS Act with respect to stablecoins should provide guardrails for users and against illicit finance in anticipation of growth in use of the cryptocurrency, said former Treasury official Nellie Liang and University of Chicago economics professor Brent Neiman.
