UK drive to weed out misleading motor finance claims continues, watchdog says

A joint taskforce involving the FCA, Advertising Standards Authority, Solicitors Regulation Authority and Information Commissioner's Office has also launched probes into law firms’ advertising ahead of a potential motor finance redress scheme. The FCA said adverts included promotions disguised as independent social media recommendations, misleading redress scheme references and unauthorized claims management services.
