That leaves either of the two conservatives who sided with Cook — Chief Justice John Roberts and Brett Kavanaugh — as the key justices on the issue.  Both implied they're open to a change of heart depending on the facts exposed by her suit against the president alleging lack of due process, now in US District Court. Also Monday, both Roberts and Kavanaugh sided with Trump in his successful removal of Rebecca Kelly Slaughter, a Democratic Federal Trade Commission member President Trump’s unsuccessful attempt to oust US Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook hinged on one conservative justice’s ballot in the 5-4 vote Monday....
