UK FCA opens applications for second cohort of firms wishing to test AI

( January 19, 2026, 16:44 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: UK financial firms wishing to test the use of artificial intelligence with the financial regulator can apply to the second cohort of the AI Live Testing service as the Financial Conduct Authority opened the applications on Monday. Participating firms receive support from the FCA regulatory team and its technical partner Advai to develop, assess and deploy safe and responsible AI, the watchdog said.
