European companies attend China-EU medical-device trade event in Shanghai
( November 6, 2026, 03:19 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: European medical-device companies were among about 200 Chinese and European healthcare institutions and businesses attending a trade matchmaking event in Shanghai on Thursday, organized by China's Ministry of Commerce during the ninth China International Import Expo. Chinese Vice Commerce Minister Ling Ji said the event followed agreements reached during China-EU trade and investment talks in October and aimed to promote more balanced bilateral trade. China would continue improving European companies' access to its government procurement market, while the EU should ensure Chinese companies can compete on equal terms for public contracts, Ling said. The ministry also held a closed-door meeting to brief foreign medical-device companies on China's government procurement policies, it said in a statement Thursday.Statement follows (in Chinese). ...
