Vice Minister of Commerce and International Trade Representative Li Chenggang told the 16th BRICS Trade Ministers’ Meeting in Jaipur, India, on Thursday and Friday that members should defend the multilateral trading system, oppose unilateralism and protectionism and advance World Trade Organization reform. Participating countries agreed to promote BRICS economic and trade integration and deepen cooperation on global value chains, small businesses and cross-border digital services trade, the ministry said.
