( June 2, 2026, 13:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: President Donald Trump signed a proclamation to adjust Section 232 tariffs on steel, copper and aluminum to reduce the duty rate on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, agricultural equipment, including combines and harvesters, and qualifying industrial equipment, such as bulldozers, from a 25 percent rate down to a 15 percent rate. Trump also expanded derivative goods subject to 232 to include aluminum lithographic plates and steel racks, and he dropped the tariff rate to 10 percent on imported goods with 85 percent of US metal content. Previously, the qualifying rate was 95 percent US metal. All of the changes take effect on June 8 and last until Dec. 31, 2027. Statement follows below:...
