USITC says domestic industry harmed by Chinese, Malaysian float glass imports

( March 24, 2026, 15:52 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex summary: The US International Trade Commission in a final determination voted 2-1 that imports of float glass product from China and Malaysia have harmed a domestic industry. USITC Chair Amy Karpel and Commissioner Jason Kearns said dumped and subsidized Chinese subject imports, along with subsidized Malaysian subject imports, have harmed a domestic industry, but Commissioner David Johanson voted negatively in both cases. The USITC unanimously determined that dumped subject imports from Malaysia are negligible. Commerce will issue antisubsidy duties on Malaysia and Chinese subject imports and antidumping duties only on Chinese subject imports.Statement follows below:...
