China adds 20 Japanese companies to export control list, bans dual-use exports

( February 24, 2026, 03:29 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China’s Ministry of Commerce has added 20 Japanese entities, including Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Shipbuilding and Kawasaki Heavy Industries Aerospace Systems, to its export control list, according to a statement published Tuesday. Export operators are prohibited from supplying dual-use items to the listed entities, and foreign organizations or individuals are barred from transferring China-origin dual-use items to them, with all existing related activities required to cease immediately. Exports under special circumstances require prior approval from the ministry. The measures took effect immediately, the ministry said, adding that the action targets companies allegedly involved in enhancing Japan’s military capabilities.Statement follows (in Chinese)....
