Strong will to conclude EU-Philippines trade talks by end-2026, key lawmaker says

The EU has signed trade deals with South America's Mercosur bloc and India this year and hopes to tie up a new deal with Australia soon as it seeks to offset increased trade tensions with the US and China.There is a strong political will to conclude free trade agreement talks between the EU and the Philippines by the end of 2026, Bernd Lange, the chair of the European Parliament’s International Trade Committee, or INTA, has said while wrapping up a visit to the Southeast Asian country....
