US appeals court grants dismissal of magnesia carbon bricks case

( January 5, 2026, 21:26 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit dismissed a joint appeal from the Department of Commerce and a coalition of domestic producers of magnesia carbon bricks, each of whom had challenged a Court of International Trade decision that affirmed Chinese and Mexican magnesia carbon bricks with any added alumina are not under the scope of antidumping and antisubsidy duties. Both parties had moved for dismissal. Commerce in late December published a notice that it would follow the CIT's decision.See attached order....
