Indonesia may extend safeguard measures on imports of curtains, related textiles

( December 2, 2025, 04:30 GMT | Official Statement) -- Mlex Summary: Indonesia’s Trade Safeguards Committee, or KPPI, said Monday that it began an investigation on Nov. 25 into whether to extend safeguard measures on imports of curtains and related household textile products. The investigation follows a request filed by the Indonesian Textile Association, or API, which said domestic producers are still facing “serious losses or the threat of serious losses.” Imports are dominated by China, accounting for 71.23 percent of the total, followed by India with 7.12 percent and Brazil with 6.25 percent.
