Turkish companies get ECJ opinion in hot-rolled flat iron products dumping dispute

( November 20, 2025, 09:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Turkish steel companies including Çolakoğlu Metalurji, Çolakoğlu Dış Ticaret and Ereğli Demir ve Çelik Fabrikaları on Thursday saw the EU's top court issue non-binding legal opinions in their legal challenge to EU dumping tariffs in place on hot-rolled flat products. The measures had been upheld by two judgments delivered last year. Advocate General Rimvydas Norkus said that it doesn't seem that the lower court's reasoning could be considered to be vitiated by an error of law. Norkus therefore recommended that the companies' pleas regarding the treatment of hedging operations be dismissed as unfounded. The AG Opinions are attached. Case references are C-498/24 P and Case C-499/24 P.  ...
