US import, export prices inched up in August

( September 16, 2025, 18:30 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex summary: US imports increased by 0.3 percent in August, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said in a new report, while American exports also increased by the exact same rate. The import prices are up from a 0.2 percent increase in July and a 0.2 percent decrease in June. While fuel imports decreased 0.8 percent in August, all other imported goods when excluding fuel increased 0.4 percent. Specifically for trade with China, imports from the country increased 0.6 percent in August — the highest since 2021 — while export prices to China dropped 1.4 percent.See attached file....
