China files WTO dispute against Canada over steel, aluminum action

( August 20, 2025, 15:58 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China has filed a dispute at the World Trade Organization against Canada over tariff rate quotas on steel goods from non-free trade agreement countries. China is also contesting surtaxes on Chinese steel and aluminum goods. China alleges that Canada's trade action violates several provisions of the WTO's General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade 1994, the Agreement on Rules of Origin, and the Agreement on Import Licensing Procedures.See attached file....
