US Commerce raises antisubsidy rates on Canadian softwood lumber

( August 8, 2025, 21:04 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Commerce Department raised antisubsidy rates on Canadian softwood lumber in the final results of the sixth administrative review on the product from Canada, which covered Jan. 1, 2023, to Dec. 31, 2023, the International Trade Administration said in a press release. The subsidy rates for Canadian companies range from 12.12 percent to 16.82 percent, which is higher than the prior administrative review. The rate for Canada-wide companies is now at 14.63 percent, up from 6.74 percent in the last administrative review. The subsidy rates also follow higher antidumping rates announced last month on softwood lumber from an administrative review.Statement follows:...
