Both sides endorsed the creation of a Competitiveness Alliance to promote a rules-based trade order. They also pledged to diversify sources of critical raw materials and opposed export controls, while committing to fully implement and streamline their Economic Partnership Agreement to boost investment and reduce reliance on single suppliers.Securing the supply chains of critical technologies and strengthening cooperation on economic security and free trade will be top priorities for the EU and Japan in the coming months....
