Malaysia says it has several 'red lines' in US trade talks, minister says

He emphasized that people’s rights, national sovereignty and trust with valued partners “are not bargaining chips” in trade talks. While noting that Malaysia values its economic ties with the US, Zafrul also highlighted the country’s long-standing role as a production base for American firms, which have received various government incentives over the past five decades.
