( July 4, 2025, 10:02 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China’s decision to impose definitive anti-dumping duties averaging 32.2 percent on imports of EU wine-based spirits, marc-based spirits, and brandies as of 5 July is unjustified and poses a significant barrier to legitimate trade, trade group SpiritsEurope said today. However, it welcomed the conclusion of price undertakings with certain companies which offered partial relief, and urged China to extend this option to all companies that had signed up. SpiritsEurope said the duties were imposed despite substantial evidence submitted by the EU spirits sector over the past 18 months clearly demonstrating the absence of any dumping practices in the Chinese market.Statement is attached....
