Indian optical fiber cables to face countervailing duties at EU borders

( June 11, 2025, 09:49 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Imports of optical fiber cables from India will face definitive countervailing duties of up to 8.1 percent at the EU borders, the European Commission said in a notice published today. The EU regulator also lowered dumping duties that have been in place since last December to account for the export subsidy component of the countervailing duties that must be deducted from those duties. These measures follow an investigation initiated by the commission in May last year after receiving a request from Europacable, a lobby group representing the EU industry, seeking protection from unfairly subsidized imports from India.Notice is attached. ...
