EU, UK to align sanitary safety rules to ease agrifood trade

The deal will bring parts of EU and UK laws into alignment, requiring the UK to keep its food safety rules in line with the bloc’s. A dispute mechanism and early consultation rights for the UK aim to smooth future cooperation, while leaving ultimate authority on EU law with the bloc’s top court.The EU and the UK will align their sanitary and phytosanitary rules to ease the trade flow of agrifood products....
