Malaysia imposes anti-dumping duties on PET imports from China, Indonesia

( May 7, 2025, 04:01 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Malaysia will impose anti-dumping duties on Polyethylene Terephthalate, or PET, imports from China at rates ranging from 2.29 percent to 11.74 percent and on imports from Indonesia at 37.44 percent for five years starting today. The Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry said the measure follows an anti-dumping duty investigation initiated on Aug. 9, 2024, in response to a petition filed by local PET producer Recron. Malaysia has determined that the PET imports are priced lower than their selling prices in China and Indonesia, causing material injury to the domestic PET production industry. The statement is attached. ...
