The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs has handled 4.1 million pieces of gambling content, including 3.6 million websites and IP addresses, Communications and Digital Affairs Minister Meutya Hafid said on Thursday. The government will continue blocking access but wants platforms to strengthen controls against gambling promotions distributed through user-interaction features such as comment sections, Meutya said.
