Bulgaria told to comply with EU's digital services law within two months

( October 1, 2026, 14:29 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Bulgaria has been told to comply with the EU's digital services law and empower its national authorities to enforce it within two months or face a possible formal warning that it is violating the bloc's rules, the European Commission said on Thursday. In a statement, it said that despite a previous warning, Bulgaria was still failing to comply with the Digital Services Act by not designating and empowering the Personal Data Protection Commission and the Electronic Media Council. The country had also wrongfully implemented the powers to sanction foreseen by the DSA, it said.Statement follows....
