Indonesia, Russia explore AI, satellite technology cooperation
( September 25, 2026, 06:13 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Indonesia and Russia are exploring cooperation on satellite technology and artificial intelligence, including potential access to Russian satellite data and cooperation with Indonesian state-owned satellite companies, Indonesia's Communications and Digital Ministry said in a statement on Thursday. A Russian delegation presented proposals on Wednesday that included providing satellite-related systems and receiving equipment in Indonesia, as well as establishing a laboratory where Indonesian students could study and operate satellites. The Russian delegation said the satellite network presented to Indonesia comprises 98 satellites, with about 16 more launched annually.
