UK children prefer safety-by-design to Australia-style social media ban, poll shows

Instead, they want the government to incentivize platforms to prioritize safety-by-design. The poll of 1,041 children aged 12 to 15 — conducted by YouGov and commissioned by campaign groups the Molly Rose Foundation, FlippGen and Breck Foundation — found that two-thirds of respondents believe their peers would circumvent any ban, and the majority feel further action is needed to make AI chatbots and gaming and livestreaming sites safer for children.Press release follows....
