Little Tech Association says US court should have ordered Google adtech split

( September 2, 2026, 19:46 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Little Tech Association said it is disappointed that US District Judge Leonie Brinkema stopped short of ordering the structural remedies in the Department of Justice's adtech monopolization lawsuit against Google. "A ruling that finds a monopoly but declines to effectively remedy it leaves the monopolist largely intact - and leaves consumers and online businesses all the worse off. We hope and expect that the Department of Justice will appeal and continue to press for remedies robust enough to restore real competition," the advocacy group said in a statement. Little Tech Association said this ruling and a similar one in a separate suit against Google over online search monopolization is why the group supports the bipartisan AMERICA Act, introduced by Senators Mike Lee and Amy Klobuchar, which would end the conflicts of interest at the heart of Google’s ad tech monopoly. "It is time for Congress to act and pass this bill,” it said.Statement attached...
