Vietnam sets blocking rules for offshore services under cybersecurity law
( August 19, 2026, 09:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Vietnam’s government on Wednesday issued Decree 327 under the revised cybersecurity law, setting out rules for handling cyberspace activities that threaten national security and involve information technology or electronic means. The decree allows access to offshore service providers to be blocked from within Vietnam if they fail to comply with requests to remove infringing information, provide data for authorized investigations, localize data or establish a local office, or if they unlawfully process Vietnamese citizens’ personal data.
