Amended US complaint filed in MultiPlan antitrust litigation
( May 19, 2026, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Plaintiffs filed an amended consolidated US class action accusing MultiPlan and the leading commercial healthcare insurers of conspiring to reduce the reimbursements they pay to healthcare providers for out-of-network services. According to the complaint, MultiPlan acquired analytic tools designed to calculate reimbursement amounts far less than an insurer would otherwise pay, and far less than the healthcare provider’s claim for reimbursement, then marketed its suite of tools to its competitors as an “out-of-network cost containment” solution. The new complaint adds two healthcare providers as class plaintiffs and four additional payor defendants — Centene Corp., CareFirst, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts and the same of Minnesota.See attached file. ...
