Australia's digital-platform forum to focus on dispute-resolution mechanisms

In a joint statement on Thursday, the Digital Platform Regulators Forum, known as DP-REG, said it would examine consumer and small-business disputes with digital platforms that may not be covered under existing schemes. The statement added that DP-REG would also work with government and industry to identify policy opportunities to improve external dispute-resolution coverage for digital platform complaints where gaps are identified. The forum is made up of representatives from the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission, the Australian Communications and Media Authority, the eSafety Commissioner and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.Statement follows....
